1. What are idle fees?
Idle fees are charges set by Charge Point Operators to encourage EV users to move their vehicles once charging is complete, keeping bays available for everyone. Idle fees apply as long as your vehicle remains plugged in after it stops drawing power.

2. How to avoid idle fees?
1. Check for idle fees before activating your charger.
2. Monitor your charging session to avoid extra fees. We will send a push notification to remind you after your EV charging session starts.

3. Idle fees for Gentari EV chargers
As a Charge Point Operator, Gentari implements the following charges:
Idle fees apply to all Gentari AC and DC points except these hotel and resort locations:
- Perdana Hotel (Kota Bharu & Kuala Lumpur)
- Espira Kinrara, Selangor
- Villea (Rompin, Port Dickson, & Morib)
- MK Land Bukit Merah, Perak
- Luma Hotel Kota Kinabalu
Gentari BESS Locations
At locations equipped with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), charging ends automatically at 80% state of charge (SoC). Idle fees apply 15 minutes after this 80% limit is reached:
- Behrang Northbound Layby
- Behrang Southbound Layby
- Senawang Northbound Layby
- Senawang Southbound Layby
- R&R Ajil Eastbound (Northbound)
- R&R Perasing
