Only Family Wallet owners can delete their Family Wallet group.

Can I delete a Family Wallet group?

Unfortunately,no.
Family Wallet owners can only invite existing Setel users to join their Family Wallet.
For non-Setel users, the Family Wallet owner can create a Setel account for them. Once the members download the Setel app, they will immediately be added to the Family Wallet.

Can Family Wallet be used by a non-Setel user?

Owners can see all of the transactions made while members can only see their own transactions.

Can the Family Wallet owner and members see the payment history?

No. 
Users can only join one Family Wallet group at a time.

Can I be a member of more than 1 Family Wallet group?

No.
All Mesra Rewards points earned through transactions under Family Wallet will be assigned to the Family Wallet owner’s Mesra Rewards card.

As a member, will I earn the Mesra Rewards points if I use Family Wallet for fuel purchases?

The owner will receive notifications made by members in real time on the Setel app.

How will Family Wallet group owners get notified?

For members, you can ask the group owner to remove you or send a removal request to our customer support in the Setel app.
For owners, you will need to go to your Family Wallet homepage. Tap on the 3 dots on the top right corner and then click Delete.

How do I leave my Family Wallet group?

Can I use Family Wallet for other payment such as Kedai Mesra, parking, etc?

You will not be able to add additional members (if the maximum limit is reached) but you will retain your existing members unless you remove them.

Owners can only add the maximum number of members per their current membership level. In January, owner A was at the Hero level and only added 2 members, but in February his membership level dropped to the Junior level. In this scenario, he will not be able to add more than 2 members (the maximum number of members for the Junior level) to his Family Wallet.</li>

Owners whose membership level has dropped can retain their existing members in Family Wallet. In January, owner B was at the Hero level and successfully added 5 members, but in February, he dropped to the Explorer/Junior level. In this scenario, he will retain the 5 members in his Family Wallet unless he removes them. If they are removed, they can only be re-added once he levels up and increase the maximum number of seats. What will happen to my Family Wallet if my Mesra membership level drops next month?

No.
This feature only allows Family Wallet members to use the owner's wallet balance.

As a Family Wallet owner, can I use my member's wallet balance?

No.
Family Wallet uses a shared wallet which is separate from a member’s personal Setel Wallet.
Just remember to select Family Wallet as the payment method when you pay for fuel, snacks, and other online or in-store purchases via the Setel app.

If I am a member, will a Family Wallet transaction use my personal Setel Wallet linked to my own Setel account?

Family Wallet is a feature that allows you to form a group with your family and friends to share a payment method. By sharing a payment method, you can maximise the benefits from your selected payment method. 
We commend using a <a href="https://help.setel.com/article/18318069729677/how-can-i-apply-for-a-petrol-credit-card-through-setel">petrol credit card</a> as your payment method as you get benefits when using it to pay for fuel purchases.

What is Family Wallet and why should I use it?

You will not be able to send invites if you use up your invitation limit. Every account will have a maximum of 5 invites.
An invite will be used when someone accepts and joins your Family Wallet. Once an invite has been used, it will only be refreshed after 3 months.

Why can't I add more members to my Family Wallet when I have space?

Please make sure your Setel app is updated to the latest version to have full access to all our features.

Why is my Family Wallet blocked? 

First, make sure that your Setel app is at least v1.109.0. You will then need to perform e-KYC verification to verify your identity and invite 1 person to activate the Family Wallet. You can find out more about e-KYC on our <a href="https://help.setel.com/article/4413021810701/setel-e-kyc-wallet-and-spending-limit-upgrade-in-setel-app" target="_self" rel="undefined">wallet upgrade</a> page. 
Upon activation, owners can directly add existing Setel users as members to their Family Wallet.

<li>Members will receive an inbox message as a notification that they were added to the Family Wallet (members do not need to go to the inbox to accept invites anymore).</li>

For non-Setel users, the owner can help them create an account. Just tap on Create next to the member's name.

The member’s name and phone number will be auto-populated. The owner just needs to tap on Create account.

Once the owner taps on Create account, an SMS will be sent to the member with a referral link.

Once the member tap the link, they will be prompted to download the Setel app and proceed with the simplified registration process.
Once registration is complete, the member will receive a push notification, an inbox message, and a message on the app homepage about being added to a Family Wallet.
The member’s default payment method will be set to the Family Wallet for fuel purchases and payments with the QR code.
