You can terminate a charging session and release the connector directly through your vehicle or the charger interface. This is particularly useful if the Setel app is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or charger connectivity issues.

How to stop the session:

  • Via your vehicle infotainment screen or app: Check the charging or energy settings in your main display and look for “Stop charging” or “Unlock Cable”. Please ensure you are near your vehicle, as some brands require the car to be unlocked.
  • Using the key fob: Some vehicle brands require you to press the “Unlock” button on the key fob to stop charging and release the cable. Please refer to your vehicle manual for specific instructions.
  • Physical buttons near the charging port: Certain vehicles have a dedicated button located next to the charging port to stop the session and unlock the connector. Please refer to your vehicle manual for more details.
  • Via the charger: Check the charger screen for a “Stop” or “End” button to manually end the session. Please avoid using the “Emergency Stop” button unless there is a genuine safety risk, as using it for routine stops may disable the charger and require technical support to reset.

If you are using your own portable charging cable, please remember to disconnect it and take it with you once the session is finished.
