You can enable more than one vehicle under your Setel account. However, only one vehicle can use automated parking at a time.
For example: You have enabled two cars for automated parking in your Setel account. After car #1 entered a car park, car #2 cannot use automated parking in your Setel account anymore.
 
We recommend the primary driver of a vehicle to enable automated parking in their own Setel account.

What if I own more than one vehicle, can I enable all of them in my Setel account?

A session might have been created because the license plate reader detected the wrong car plate number or the vehicle is being used by your friends/family. Upon leaving the car park, your Setel Wallet will be charged because the vehicle is registered under your account.

Why do I have an active parking session when I am not using the parking feature?

Yes.
You can register your friend’s or family’s vehicle under your Setel account, but only one active parking session is allowed at a time.

Can I pay the parking fee for my friends and family using my Setel account?

Don’t worry! The session will be cleared automatically after a certain period. We will investigate further and manually charge the parking session if needed.

What should I do if I have exited the car park but the parking timer is still running?

There are no transaction fees for using QR parking with Setel.
You will only need to pay the parking fees based on the location’s parking rate.

Are there any transaction fees for using the Setel app?

Yes.
There is no minimum amount required in your Setel Wallet to enter the car park. However, before exiting, please ensure you have sufficient balance in your Setel Wallet for your parking fee to be deducted.
 
Rest assured, your parking is still valid/active until you exit the car park. The Setel app will notify you if you have an insufficient balance in your wallet. Please make sure you turn on the notification to get notified.

I have a low balance in my Setel Wallet, can I still enter the parking location?

Yes. Your parking is still valid/active until you exit the car park.
However, you will need to top up your wallet to pay for the parking fee before exiting.

What if my parking fee has exceeded my Setel Wallet balance, will the parking session still be valid/ active?

You can select your Setel Wallet or your credit/debit card as the payment method. Please ensure you have sufficient balance before exiting to avoid any issues.
We highly recommend enabling auto top-up. With auto top-up, you will never experience a low wallet balance as your Setel Wallet will be automatically topped up when the balance falls below the specified amount.

How can I pay for my automated parking with the Setel app?

Setel automated parking provides a convenient and seamless parking experience. All you have to do is enter a parking area and Setel will track your parking session.

Why should I use ticketless and automated parking with Setel?

Our cameras are smart, but sometimes they can get a little confused. This issue may happen due to several factors including (but not limited to):

Letters on the plate are located too close together, especially with narrower characters like “1”

How can I switch between vehicles for automated parking?

You can reach out to our customer support via live chat on the app/<a href="https://www.setel.com/">website</a> or email us at <a href="mailto:hello@setel.com">hello@setel.com</a> for assistance. You will need to provide a proof of transaction (receipt).
Once it has been confirmed a double charge happened, you will get the refund within 3 to 5 business days.

What should I do if I get double charged for the parking session?

You can refer to our <a href="https://www.setel.com/automated-parking">automated parking page</a> or check the available locations on the app from time to time.
We recommend enabling your push notification so that you won’t miss out on the news when there is a new car park that supports Setel's automated parking.

What are the available locations for Setel automated parking?

Yes. 
You can earn Mesra Rewards points for paying your parking fees via Setel (RM 5.00 = 1 Mesra Point). This applies to Automated parking, Street parking, and QR parking.

Do I earn Mesra Rewards points when I use the parking features on Setel?

Yes.
The final parking fee will be deducted from the account that has the vehicle enabled.

Can I still use automated parking if my phone is not with me, without an internet connection, or if I have no battery?

No.
In order to enable the vehicle on your Setel account, you will need to disable the vehicle on the other Setel account.

Can I enable the same vehicle with different Setel accounts?

To end your active parking session, simply exit the parking location. Once you have driven through the exit barrier gate, your parking fees will automatically be deducted from Setel, based on your selected payment method.
