How do I sign up for Cardless PETRONAS SmartPay? 

What if I have a physical PETRONAS SmartPay card? 

To sign up for Cardless PETRONAS SmartPay, you must:

  • Be successfully incorporated with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia).
  • Have a valid business registration number.


Step 1: Submitting the sign-up form

  1. Launch the Setel app and tap on View all.
  2. Select Fuel for fleets or companies.
  3. Enter the required details, then tap Apply Now.
  4. Fill in the Company information and Fleet manager details
    Note: The fleet manager will receive login access to the Cardless SmartPay dashboard.

  5. Review the information, tick the consent box, then tap Submit.

Once the application is submitted, the fleet manager will be able to log in to the dashboard.


Step 2: Activating the account

  1. In the dashboard, the fleet manager should tap Activate Now.
  2. The fleet manager will be redirected to an Airtable form to provide additional information and upload the following documents:
  • All directors’ ICs
  • SSM Section 17
  • SSM Corporate Information
  • KPDN’s SKDS/SKPS approval letter and approved vehicle list (if applicable)

Our Operations team will review your activation form within 3–5 business days. If any information or documents are missing, we’ll reach out to assist you.

What if I have a physical PETRONAS SmartPay card?

There will be no transfer of credit over to your new Cardless PETRONAS SmartPay account as it will be set up as a new account.
