A passkey lets you sign in to your Setel account using your device’s biometric authentication (such as Face ID or fingerprint) or device screen lock. Instead of entering your mobile number and One-Time Password (OTP), a passkey allows you to log in faster and more securely. Passkeys are stored securely on your device and protected by your device authentication.
Why use Passkey?
✅ Faster login
Faster, safer logins using your biometric authentication such as FaceID, fingerprint or device screen lock.
✅ Enhanced security
Passkeys help protect your account from phishing and password theft.
✅ No OTP needed
You don’t need to wait for SMS verification every time you log in.
How to setup Passkey?
- Launch the Setel app and tap Profile.

How to remove Passkey?

After removing the passkey, you will need to sign in using mobile number and OTP.
What do I do if I can't log in using Passkey?
You can still sign in using your mobile number and OTP.
Supported devices
- iOS 16 or above;
- Android 9 or above.
Your device must also have screen lock or biometric authentication enabled (such as Face ID, fingerprint recognition, or device PIN) to create and use a passkey.
Note: Passkey availability may vary on some older Android devices (Android 9–11) due to operating system and Google Play Services limitations. If a passkey is unavailable during login, you can continue signing in using your mobile number and OTP.
If your device does not meet these requirements, you can still sign in using your mobile number and OTP.
What happens if I changed my device?
You may need to create a new passkey on your new device.
Why can't I see my passkey during login even though I have already created one?
In some cases, Android devices may not display your passkey during login even after it has been successfully created.
This is a known limitation affecting certain older Android versions (Android 9, 10, and 11) and may occur due to how Google Play Services manages passkey credentials on these devices.
The issue may happen intermittently and can occur in situations such as:
- Recreating a passkey multiple times
- Switching to a new device
- Changing Google accounts on the device
- Making changes to your password manager settings
If your passkey is not available during login, you can continue signing in using OTP.
What should I do if my passkey cannot be found?
If you encounter a "Passkey not found" error:
- Try signing in using OTP;
- Ensure you are using the same device and Google account that was used when the passkey was created;
- Verify that your passkey is still available in your device's password manager;
- If necessary, create a new passkey from the Setel app after signing in.
Please note that passkey availability may vary on some older Android devices (Android 9–11) due to limitations on those devices and Google Play Services.
