Can I make payments to all DuitNow QR merchants from any bank or e-Wallet?

Your account will be suspended if we have reasons to believe it has been compromised/hacked.

Why is my DuitNow ID suspended?

There is no additional registration required. You will be able to scan a DuitNow QR via Setel to make payments.

Do I need to register to use DuitNow QR?

No. Transfers to personal DuitNow accounts are not eligible for Mesra Rewards points or cashback.

Do I get any Mesra Rewards points or cashback when I transfer to another personal DuitNow QR code?

Yes. You will need to have at least
<ol>
<li>RM 0.01 in your wallet if you are using Setel app version 1.133.0 and above.</li>
<li>RM 1.00 in your wallet if you are using Setel app version 1.132.0 and below.</li>
</ol>

Is there a minimum wallet balance to use DuitNow QR?

Please update your Setel app to the latest version and give the app camera access. You will not be able to scan if the app does not have camera permission.
Do note that the following QR codes are not supported at the moment:
<ul>
<li>Dynamic QR code</li>
<li>Bank money transfer QR code</li>
</ul>

I can’t scan my personal DuitNow QR. What should I do?

DuitNow QR is only available on version 1.138.0 and above.
If your Setel app version is lower, you will need to update your Setel app through your respective app stores.

Do I need to update the Setel app to use DuitNow QR?

Once you've scanned a DuitNow QR, the name of the registered account holder will be displayed.
You must check that the name that appears is the intended recipient before proceeding to confirm the transfer.

How can I ensure that I've scanned the correct DuitNow QR when initiating a transfer?

Currently, account verification is required to use the DuitNow transfer feature, and verification is only available for Malaysians with a Malaysian identity card.
We are working to bring this feature to those with international passports soon. Stay tuned!

Who can use DuitNow QR?

To start, tap the Pay tab in the Setel app.

You will have two options to scan the QR code:

<li>Use your device's camera to scan the DuitNow QR code by pointing it towards the code.</li>
<li>Choose to scan a DuitNow QR code from your device's gallery if you have a saved image of the code.</li>

Enter the amount that you want to transfer to the payee. Once you are done, tap Pay.

Review the payment details to ensure they are correct. Then, confirm the payment to complete the transaction. If the transaction is successful, you will see the payment successful screen.

How do I perform a DuitNow QR transfer to another person?

Currently, only business-registered QR codes are available for scanning. You will not be able to transfer money using any personal QR codes.
But don't worry! Personal registered QR codes will be coming soon.

Why can't I scan certain DuitNow QR codes?

For DuitNow Business QR, this transfer limit is personalized based on your account, how you spend, and our internal policies to keep things safe. This helps prevent unauthorized transactions, combat risks from money laundering and illicit activities, and keeps your money secure.

For DuitNow QR transfer (to another person) and Proxy Transfer, verified accounts can update the following transaction limit up to RM500 or RM2000 each. The maximum limit is subject to your spending patterns and monthly usage.

What is my DuitNow transaction limit?

Unfortunately, this function is not supported yet.
To complete a DuitNow QR payment to the merchant, you will need to scan the merchant's QR code instead to allow the deduction to happen in your Setel account.

Can merchants scan my Setel personal DuitNow QR code?

<li>Transferable balance refers to the e-Wallet balance coming from online banking or DuitNow transfers.</li>
<li>You can use your transferable e-Wallet Balance to transfer money to:

<li>Local Bank</li>
<li>Another person's account via DuitNow transfer</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ol>

<li>You cannot use your non-transferable e-Wallet Balance to transfer money.</li>
