Currently, we offer insurance plans from both AXA and Etiqa.

Can I renew my road tax as well?

Of course! You can renew it through the Road tax feature.


How do I know if my transaction is successful?

A receipt of the transaction and policy details will be sent to the email address registered with Setel.

Alternatively, you can check the transaction history in the Setel App. Kindly refer to the steps below:

  1. Click More at the bottom right.

  2. Select Payment history under PAYMENTS.


Can I renew my insurance?

Of course!
You will be eligible if you meet all of the criteria below:

AXA Etiqa
  1. The motor insurance has not expired for more than 30 days.

  2. It is not more than 60 days away from the motor insurance expiry date.

  3. There has not been more than 1 claim in the last 2 years.

  4. The vehicle is less than 20 years old and for private use only.

  5. You are between 18-75 years old.

How much is the premium?

Calculation of the premium is done by assessing the condition of the car and the amount insured.

How do I pay for my motor insurance?

You will need to pay through the Setel wallet on the Setel App. If your balance is insufficient, you can top up through online banking or a credit card.


Is there a minimum sum to insure? 

The minimum sum insured must be more than RM 10,000


Is there additional coverage?

Yes, you can view the list of additional coverages available when requesting a quotation.


How do I cancel my insurance policy?

All post-sales activities (claims, cancellations, etc.) are handled by the insurance company.

Can I get a refund when I cancel my insurance policy?

A refund of the premium would be based on the conditions stipulated in the policy contract.

How do I file a claim?

For major accidents or if your car is unsafe to drive, please contact our 24-Hour Roadside Assistance team via 1800-88-1033.


For minor accidental damages and if your car is safe to drive, kindly notify your claim to AXA e-Claim via WhatsApp at (+603) 2170 8282 or at https://www.axa.com.my/claims.

For major accidents or if your car is unsafe to drive, please contact Etiqa’s 24-Hour Roadside Assistance team via 1800-88-6491.
